It still had the woodland + greenery + gnome theme, but it also had more of a carnival feel – there was a really cute ice skating rink, a curling rink, and a carousel. Those lights were pure magic when they were all lit up at night.Īfter enjoying the Altmarkt section, you stroll down a decorated section of street with a few more stalls and a carved nativity until you reach the Heumarkt. The stalls in the market were all a distinctive red color, with shooting stars at the top of the stall serving as the stall’s nameplate.Ī giant, elevated Christmas tree stood proudly in the center of the market, with a blanket of lights extending from the tree over the tops of the stalls.
